Kempe Green and Votel Receive Philly Soccer Six Honors

PHILADELPHIA- Â After punching their ticket to the AAC tournament, Temple's Andrew Kempe was named the Philly Soccer Six Goalkeeper of the Week while Kemali Green and Charlie Votel both were named to the Philly Soccer Six Honor Roll. This is the second time this season that Kempe has received this honor, previously winning the award on Oct. 23 following Temple's match against UAB.
Andrew Kempe played a crucial role in goal for Temple during their match against Tulsa, helping TU secure a place in the AAC Championship. Kempe achieved his fourth shutout of the season and has conceded just six goals this year – the fewest by an Owl since 2012. Temple heads into the conference championship boasting the highest save percentage in the AAC at .857.
Kemali Green was a steady anchor on Temple's backline, contributing to TU's 1-0 shutout victory over Tulsa on the road. The Owl defense remained solid throughout the match, with Green playing a key role in multiple stops. His impact has been instrumental, as Temple has conceded the second-fewest goals in conference play, allowing just four.
