Opening Tip
  • Temple will have its third true road game of the season and look for its first win in an opposing team's home venue when it treks to Long Island to face Hofstra on Sunday.
  • The Owls have squared off against Boston College & La Salle on the road, falling each time in close games. It also marks the final road non-conference game of the year.
Scorching the Nets vs. Holy Family
  • Temple hit numerous season-high marks for offensive output against Holy Family on Dec. 10. The Owls hit the 110-point plateau for just the fourth time in program history, and for the first time since 1988.
  • Six players reached double figures, four had 17 or more points, and a pair - Jamal Mashburn Jr. and Zion Stanford - had 20+.
  • This was the second time Temple has hit the 100-point milestone this year, tying a program record for most 100+ point games in a season - previously set three other times (1955-56, 1960-61, 1969-70).
  • The 58.7% shooting from the floor marked the team's highest percentage since Feb. 28, 2020 against SMU.
Stanford Shows Signs
  • Sophomore Zion Stanford was an AAC All-Rookie Team selection a season ago, and has shown glimpses of taking a bigger step in 2024-25.
  • Stanford had 25 points in the win over Holy Family, a career-high, and added five assists, four rebounds and two steals in the victory.
Scouting Hofstra
  • The Pride, led by former NBA player Speedy Claxton, are 8-3 this season and have won three straight contests heading into Sunday's matinee.
  • Most notably, Hofstra picked up a win over another American Athletic Conference team - Rice - in the Bahamas at the end of November, and also defeated UMass earlier in the month.
  • Cruz Davis is one of three players averaging in double figures with a team-high 15.4 points per game. Davis was an Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team selection at Iona in 2022-23, and spent last season at St. John's.
