Lacrosse Opens Conference Play on Saturday vs. Vanderbilt

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's lacrosse team will open American Athletic Conference play this Saturday, when they host Vanderbilt at 12:00pm at Howarth Field. The Owls enter AAC action with a 5-3 overall record.

> Belle Mastropietro was named to the AAC Honor Roll after a four goal, three draw control, one assist effort vs. USC. She leads the Owls with 21 goals, nine assists, 26 draw controls, and seven free-position goals.
> Taylor Grollman leads the American and ranks top ten in the nation in saves (74), save percentage (.536), and goals against average (8.26). She has posted a .50 or greater save percentage in seven of eight games.
> The duo of Katie Shallow and Maddie Barber are first and second in the conference in caused turnovers and ground balls, ranking Top 15 in the nation in both categories. The Owls as a team lead the country in ground balls per game and are third in CT's.
