PHILADELPHIA – The Temple women's tennis team improved to 7-4 on Sunday afternoon as it defeated the Drexel Dragons by the score of 4-1 at the Hecht Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania.

NOTES:

Temple went 3-0 out of doubles on Sunday, picking up the team point.
Marianthi Christoforidou and Sena Takebe got the winning started out of the third position, defeating Isabel Cabrerizo and Adva Dabah by the the score of 6-2. Jessie Zheng and Evi Wei continued the winning with a 6-4 decision over Maddie Ricardo and Elisa Rigazio, 6-4, out of the second position, and Samantha Nanere and Vineetha Mummadi kept the Owls perfect, defeating Lorie Lemongo and Rebecca Fiedler, 6-4.
The Dragons, earned their first point of the day in the first position of singles as Lemongo defeated Thamara Frasser Kawaratani, 6-3, 6-1.
Temple earned back-to-back-to-back points to seal the victory, starting with Takebe defeating Rigazio, 7-6 (4-0), 6-4. Mummadi earned Temple's third point with a 7-6 (4-0), 6-4 win over Dabah win out of the fifth position, and then Christoforidou sealed the team win for the Cherry and White with a 7-6 (4-0), 6-2 win over Fiedler.
