Men's Crew Travels to Lake Carnegie for Early Season Challenge

PRINCETON, N.J. - The No. 23 Temple University men's crew team faces a strong early season test as it travels to Princeton to take on the No. 2 Tigers No. 17 Drexel and No. 18 Georgetown on Saturday, March 30 on Lake Carnegie.

Last Time Out
The Owls dominated the competition, sweeping all of its races in winning the Michael Quinn Cup against Marietta and Mercyhurst on March 23. The Varsity 8+ won against both the Pioneers and Lakers by more than eight seconds.

About the Opposition
In an early season showdown of some of the better competition in the Mid-Atlantic, Temple faces off against Princeton, Drexel and Georgetown. All three teams are ranked in the IRA/IRCA Preseason Varsity 8 poll. The Tigers are competing for the first time this spring. DU is rowing for the first time since March 16 when it was upended by La Salle. The Hoyas competed on Thursday, edging out the No. 16 Explorers.

Temple is back in action next Saturday, April 6 when it heads to Pennsauken, N.J. to face No. 24 Colgate on the Cooper River.
