BELLEAIR, Fla- The Temple Men's Golf team is in Belleair, Florida for the American Athletic Conference Championship this weekend (April 19-21). The 12-team event is being held at the Pelican Golf Club, which is a par-70, 6,881-yard course. The tournament consists of 54 holes over a three-day period. The team finished in a tie for 10^th place after day one.

Recapping the Day

The Owls shot a combined eight-over 288 on the day.
Junior Ethan Whitney continued his success from last year's conference championship with a round of two-under 68 today. He places in a tie for third place individually after the first day. His round consisted of four birdies and only one bogey.
