Men's Crew Records Trio of Top Three Finishes in Massachusetts

WORCESTER, Mass. - The No. 22 Temple University men's crew team turned in a trio of top-three finishes as the Owls competed against multiple ranked teams on Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday morning.Â
The best performance came in the 2V8+ as Frederick Mehra (coxswain), Konstantin Kluge (stroke), Lars Veckenstedt, Lukas Wojciechowski, Kevin Harvell, Adam Curran, Fran Bruzek, Ryan Spellman and Sebastian Rawson (bow) rowed Kevin Murphy to a second place time of 6:08.Â
In the Varsity 8+, competing in Professor Gratson, Grace Crosby (coxswain), Adam Oliver (stroke), Kenneth Raynor, Dimitrios Stasinos, Ryan Yates, Rares Nechita, Brandon Van Vuuren, Brayden MacBride and Pascal Evans (bow) placed third, crossing the finish line in 6:08.2, trailing No. 13 Boston University and No. 23 Holy Cross.
Temple rows on the Schuylkill for the first time this spring when it competes in the Bergen Cup Regatta against the other Philadelphia rowing programs.Â
