Men's Crew Takes on City Schools in Bergen Cup Regatta

PHILADELPHIA - The No. 23 Temple University men's crew team rows on the Schuylkill River for the first time this spring as it competes in the Bergen Cup Regatta on Saturday morning.

Last Time Out
Temple took on a pair of ranked opponents as it competed in Worcester, Mass. on Lake Quinsigamond on Saturday. The 2V8+ turned in the best performance, finishing second, beating then No. 23 Holy Cross.

Bergen Cup Regatta
Serving as the de facto city championship, the Owls face off against local rivals No. 16 La Salle, No. 17 Drexel and Saint Joseph's at the event. Temple last won the Bergen Cup in 2021 when it topped Drexel by three seconds to win the Varsity 8+.

Senior Day
Prior to the event, Temple honors seniors Fran Bruzek, Theodore Glenn, Adam Oliver, Marco Palomo, Kenneth Raynor and Brandon Van Vuuren for their service to the program.

TU has next weekend off from competition as it gears up for the 85th annual Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta on the Cooper River in Pennsauken, N.J. on May 10-11.
