No. 23 Men's Crew Downs No. 24 Colgate for Murphy Cup

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. - The No. 23 Temple University men's crew team claimed both of its races and won the Murphy Cup against No. 24 Colgate on the Cooper River on Saturday morning.Â
The Varsty 8+ rowed Professor Gratson to a time of 6:00.70 as Grace Crosby (coxswain), Dimitrios Stasinos (stroke), Brandon Van Vuuren, Adam Oliver, Kevin Harvell, Rares Nechita, Kenneth Raynor, Brayden MacBride and Pascal Evans (bow) bested the Raiders by more than seven seconds to claim the cup.
In the V4+, Frederick Mehra (coxswain), Konstantin Kluge (stroke), Lars Veckenstedt, Lukas Wojciechowski and Sebastian Rawson (bow) took Angus across the line in 6;45.45, outdistancing Colgate by more than ha;f a minute.
Temple is in action next on Saturday and Sunday, April 13-14 at the Knecht Cup on the Cooper River.
