The Owls Return Home for this Week's Matchups

PHILADELPHIA - After six road games, the Owls return to Temple Sports Complex for their first conference game against East Carolina on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7:00 P.M. Following Thursday's matchup the Owls stay home to play Navy on Sunday, Sept 15 at 1:00 P.M.Â

Scouting Temple
- Tamsin Bynoe leads the conference in saves with 41 saves thus far into the season. Bynoe had her first shutout against Le Moyne, contributing five saves in that game.Â
- Shari Atkins had a breakout game against Le Moyne and that momentum carried into the game against La Salle. Atkins tallied two goals and one assist in the two games last week. She has set a game-high in points, goals, assists, and shots on goal.Â
- Sunday's starting XI was the fifth unique starting lineup for the Owls on the season as Coach Shaw looks to find the perfect combination.
- Graduate student Kylie Alvarez was named AAC Defensive Player of the Week early this season.Â
- The Pirates have been selected third in the American Athletic Conference preseason poll, the highest preseason standing in program history.
- Sophomore Lucy Fazackerley was a part of the ACC All-Rookie Team.

- Marlee Heaven played over 1,000 minutes and tallied four goals and an assist over 17 starts last season.Â
- Senior Amanda Grazino started the season extremely fast with 10 points (two goals and six assists) over the first eight non-conference games ... tallied the fifth-most assists in the Patriot League with six helpers.
- Rylee Rivas leads the team with three goals this season.Â
This is the first matchup between the two schools.Â
