Men’s & Women’s Cross Country Spike up at Penn State

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple cross country teams will race Friday, Sept. 13th in the Harry Grove Spiked Shoes Invitational hosted by Penn State University. The Owls look to build after a stellar performance in their 2nd Annual Home Invitational. The women's race will start at 10 A.M and the men's at 10:45 A.M.
Previewing the Owls
- The men's team kicked off the season with a victory at their home invitational with a first-place finish from David Troy. Three other owls placed in the top 10.
- Freshman Amelia Sabatino placed 14th in her college debut in the home invitational.
- This Friday five women and ten men will represent the Cherry & White.
The Field
- On the women's side, 21 teams will be in attendance, and 19 for the men.
- Last season, the women placed 5th out of seven schools, while the men finished 4th at the Harry Grove Spiked Shoes Invitational.
- At last year's meet Cole Frank led the men's team, finishing 12th. His teammates David Troy, Liem Chot, Josh Christianson and Mattia Zen all finished top 30.
