The Owls Stay on the Road for This Week's Matchups

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Owls are set to travel to Syracuse, New York, for their Thursday afternoon matchup against Le Moyne. The action continues with a Sunday clash against their cross-town rival, La Salle, scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

Scouting Temple
  • Sophomore Tamsin Bynoe and Graduate Student Taylor Vecchione have combined 41 saves over the last five games with a .692 and .705 save percentage.
  • Senior back Phoebe Hollin continues to play all 90 minutes leading the team with 450 minutes over five games.
  • Shari Atkins has been a playmaker and continues to create scoring opportunities for the Owls totaling six shots on the season. 
Scouting Le Moyne
  • Freshman goalkeeper Mikayla McPheron currently leads the team with 14 saves. 
  • Jenicha Brown was named an NEC Prime Performer for that week early last season. 
  • Sophomore Jasmina Barhoumi played every minute of every game during her first campaign last year with the Dolphins. She made 18 starts with 1,620 minutes played, she finished the year tied for the team lead in points with two goals and three assists. 
Series History
This is the first matchup between the Owls and the Dolphins. 

Scouting La Salle
  • Junior Haley Gschrey has now earned at least one point in each of the first five matches for La Salle. She has scored in four of the five. The senior is tied for the lead in the A-10 in goals (five).
  • Sophomores Justyce Hollenbach and Elizabeth Estrada were named All-Rookie last season and they have one assist on the season thus far. 
  • Ricshya Walker and Haley Gschrey lead the team with shots on goal both having seven a piece. 
Series History
The two teams have played each other 11 times in the past 16 years.

After an away game stretch, the Owls return to Temple Sports Complex for their first conference game against East Carolina on Thursday, September 12 at 7:00 p.m. The matchup will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
