Temple Women's Soccer Delivers Dominating Performance with 4-0 Victory

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Behind a three goal outburst in the second half, the Temple women's soccer team earned its first win of the season, a 4-0 victory against the Le Moyne Dolphins on Thursday afternoon.
Shari Atkins led the attack with a goal and an assist. It was the first Temple win for head coach Chris Shaw.

- Four different players scored for the Owls. Shari Atkins found the back of the net in the first half. Fiona Kilian, Raquel Patalon, and Caroline Oestergaard added a goal in the second half.
- Atkins and Kilian each recorded an assist, with Yao Zhou and Carly Steinberg providing key assists for the other goals.Â
- Temple out shot Le Moyne 15-9 with seven of those 15 shots being on goal.
- Atkins scored the first Owls goal in the 14th minute from a through ball perfectly placed allowing Atkins to chip the ball over the goalie.Â
- The Owls started the second half aggressively on offense with two shots on goal within the first few minutes. Shortly after Kilian scored in the 61th minute as Le Moyne struggled to clear the ball.Â
- The Cherry and White found a rhythm utilizing their midfielders and center back keeping the ball in Temple's possession resulting in two scores in the 70th and 80th minute.
The Owls are in the city for a matchup against La Salle on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
