Men's Soccer to Face Penn Friday Night in Philly Soccer Six Matchup

PHILADELPHIA – The Temple University men's soccer team continues its road trip on Friday, September 6, as the Owls will compete against the Penn Quakers. The Owls enter the matchup with a 1-1-2 record, drawing 0-0 in their previous match against the American Eagles on Monday, Sept. 2. Meanwhile, the Quakers enter the match with a 1-0 record, upsetting No. 3 Pitt 1-0 on Sept. 1.

Scouting Temple

Flannan Riley is projected to start in goal as the Owls have been alternating goalies each match so far this season. Riley has snagged seven saves this season including a five-save performance against Army on Aug. 22.
Xavier Rimpel currently ranks second in assists in the AAC and fifth in the conference in points per game.
Kemali Green leads the Owls in minutes, as he has played for a combined 360 minutes played through four games, not seeing the bench once.
This is the second match of TU's four-game road trip as they will face another Philly Soccer Six rival in Drexel on Sep. 10 and then travel to Akron, Ohio to face MAC opponent Akron.

Scouting Penn

In Penn's victory against Pitt, junior Jack Wagoner scored the lone goal of the match. This was his first goal of his collegiate career.
The Quakers outshot the Panthers 8-2, with five of these shots coming in the first half of the match.
Senior Stas Korzeniowski led Penn with four shots, three of which were on goal.
Head Coach Brian Gill is entering his sixth season as the head coach of the Quakers. He has a combined record of 40-22-21.
