PHILADELPHIA – On Tuesday afternoon, the Temple men's soccer team announced a new member, signing Makai through Team IMPACT.
Makai officially signed with the team in the Fox-Ginnis Room at the Liacouras Center. He will participate in many activities with the Owls, including games, practices, and other team events.
Team IMPACT, a national non-profit organization, has developed a unique multi-year program that matches children facing serious illness and disability with college athletic teams across the country. Based on a clinical model, Team IMPACT guides a symbiotic relationship between teams and children focused on socialization, empowerment, and resilience.
"Makai was with us all fall and spent time with us during training and came to a lot of games," said Head Coach Bryan Green. "We're really excited to have him here."
