Men's Tennis Ready to Kick Off 2025 Spring Season on the Road

PHILADELPHIA - This week, on January 23 and 25, the Temple men's tennis is set to compete on the road, taking on Saint Joseph's University on the 23rd and Penn State University on the 25th.

SCOUTING TEMPLE:
- Returning senior student Dante Russo proved himself as a reliable contributor, finishing 2023-2024 season tied for second on the team in singles victories with an 8-11 record. He performed well across various positions, notably with a 1-1 record from the No. 4 spot. Russo was also a doubles specialist, ranking second on the team with 10 wins, including a perfect 4-0 record with Nemani and 5-7 with Barety.
- Junior student Pranav Nemani excelled in doubles, leading the team with 11 wins in 2023-2024 season. His most notable success came in the No. 3 doubles position, where he and Russo went undefeated with a 4-0 record. Nemani also contributed significantly in singles, finishing with a 5-5 dual record, and was named to the 2023-24 AAC All-Academic Team for his academic and athletic excellence.
- Adam Kresina had a standout freshman year, leading the team in singles victories with a solid 9-7 record. His consistent performance in singles helped him establish himself as a key player for Temple. His achievements were further recognized with a spot on the 2023-24 AAC All-Academic Team and as an ITA Scholar-Athlete.
SCOUTING SAINT JOSEPH'S
- The Saint Joseph's men's tennis concluded the 2023-2024 season with an overall record of 7-17, including a 0-5 mark in conference play. Despite challenges, the team showcased resilience, notably securing a 7-0 victory over Coppin State on January 27, 2024.
SCOUTING FOR PENN STATE
- In the 2023-2024 season, Penn State's men's tennis concluded with a 16-12 overall record, including a 2-5 mark in conference play. Returning to the court, graduate Student Sam Bossem, seniors Loren Byers and Charl Morgan and sophomores Nolan Ranger and Alex Sterin will represent the Blue and White.
