Women's Tennis Continues Fall Slate at Cissie Leary Invitational

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's tennis team will participate in the second event of the fall season in the Cissie Leary Invitational, hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. The three-day event will span from Friday, Oct. 3, to Sunday, Oct. 5.
SCOUTING TEMPLE
- Marianthi Christoforidou turned in two strong performances at the Villanova Invitational. She opened with a straight-sets win over NJIT (6–3, 6–4), then followed it up two days later by defeating Villanova in dominant fashion (6–1, 6–1).
- Tianni Zhou made a strong impression in her collegiate debut, downing her opponent from NJIT in three sets (4-6, 6-0, 11-9).
- Thamara Kawaratani made quick work against Delaware, winning in straight sets (6-2, 6-2) in the Villanova Invitational.
