Owls Look to Rebound in Saturday Clash with Memphis

Memphis, Tenn. - The Temple University men's soccer team is set for a Saturday nmatchup against the Memphis Tigers, starting at 3 p.m. Eastern time. The Owls are entering the weekend following a tight 1-0 loss at home against Tulsa.
Scouting Temple
- Forward Charlie Votel leads the Owl offense with 13 shots and five shots on goal. Votel also has one assist on the season against Army (Sept. 5).
- Preston Neal was the starting goalkeeper for the Owls in their last two matches. He recorded a combined 16 saves as Temple ranks first in the conference with an average of five saves per match.
- Luka Lukic, Paolo Kampula, Lukas Egarter, and Charlie Votel have each started all 12 matches for Temple this year, with Lukic leading the team in minutes with 1,056 total minutes played.
Scouting Memphis
- Memphis enters Saturday following a 2-0 loss against Florida Atlantic, who are now ranked No. 22. The Tigers hold a 2-3 conference record with wins against UAB and Tulsa.
- Luciano Galizzi leads the conference with six assists this season and is tied with Eben McIntyre in total points for Memphis with eight. Miller Lashlee and Saad Chaoki lead the Tigers with three goals each.
- Richard Mulrooney is in his 12th season leading the Tigers, holding a combined 80-87-29 record. Memphis recorded a 7-7-3 record a season ago, going 4-1-2 in conference play as the Tigers fell in the first round to No. 5 FIU.

This will be the 15th all-time meeting between the Owls and Tigers. Temple holds a 6-5-3 record overall, with the two last meeting last season in a 0-0 draw.
