BOCA RATON, FLA. – Temple women's volleyball (11-10, 1-6 American) fell short to Florida Atlantic (14-6, 5-2 American) in four sets Friday evening at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. Christiana Greene matched her career-high with 17 kills, hitting .400, with seven of those coming in the first set.

HOW IT HAPPENED
SET 1 (Temple 25, Florida Atlantic 23)
Christiana Greene opened the first set with back-to-back kills to put Temple up 2-1.
The match was a back-and-forth battle featuring 16 ties and seven lead changes before Mariyana Cardwell sparked Temple's three-point kill streak.
Alyssa Finister and Leia Harper closed out the set with kills to secure the 25-23 win for the Owls.

SET 2 (Temple 13, Florida Atlantic 25)
Florida Atlantic responded quickly in set two, jumping out to an 8-2 lead.
Temple chipped into FAU's advantage with kills from Hummel, Greene, and Finister, along with an ace from Daniella Gonzalez Murati, cutting the deficit to 22-13.
FAU controlled the remainder of the set, taking it 25-13.

SET 3 (Temple 19, Florida Atlantic 25)
Temple remained within four points midway through the set, trailing 15-12.
A 3-0 FAU run late in the frame closed it out 25-19.

SET 4 (Temple 15, Florida Atlantic 25)
The fourth set featured early blocks and kills from Cardwell and Finister to tie things up at 8-8.
Harper recorded back-to-back kills to bring Temple within five at 18-13.
Despite a late push and Harper reaching double-digit kills, the Owls fell 25-15.

INSIDE THE BOX
Christiana Greene hit .467 in the first set, leading the team with seven kills.
In the opening frame, Temple outkilled Florida Atlantic 19-13. Four Owls, Olivia Hummel, Leia Harper, Alyssa Finister, and Christiana Greene, tallied at least two kills each in the first set.
