Temple Volleyball Set for Home Weekend Against UAB and Memphis

PHILADELPHIA – Temple will continue American play this weekend, hosting UAB and Memphis at McGonigle Hall. Friday's match against UAB will feature our Green Game, part of the Powerful Minds campaign, an important initiative that promotes awareness of mental health issues and the resources available to student-athletes. Sunday's match against Memphis will highlight our Breast Cancer Awareness Game. Friday's match will begin at 6 p.m., while Sunday's match is set for noon. Both matches will be streamed live on ESPN+.

OWL IN THE NEST
Outside hitter Christiana Greene delivered a dominant offensive performance last weekend for Temple, totaling 27 kills (3.86 per set) and hitting .333 across two matches at Florida Atlantic and South Florida. Greene opened the weekend with a 17-kill performance against FAU, matching her career high, while hitting .389 with just three errors on 36 swings. She added 10 kills and two blocks versus USF to close out the road trip. Greene led all Owls in both kills and points (28.0, 4.00 per set) over the weekend. She currently ranks 10th in the conference in both categories.

Averaging 15.95 digs per set, Temple has six Owls with over 100 digs, led by graduate student Leia Harper with 204. Harper has recorded six double-doubles across kills and digs this season.

Scouting UAB
UAB is coming off a sweep by Tulsa, with the opening set featuring 27 ties. The Blazers' offense is led by Jorda Crook, who averages 3.98 kills per set over 62 sets and is joined by three teammates with over 100 kills. Five UAB players have recorded more than 100 digs, led by Delaney Bowser, who has 191. Bowser enters the match on a six-match streak without a reception error. The Blazers are coached by Betsy Freeburg, who was named head coach in 2020.

Scouting Memphis 
Memphis dropped its last match to North Texas in four sets. The Tigers' setting duo of Maddy Bach and Sydney Marshall combined for 100 assists across three matches last week. Bach leads the team with 539 assists, averaging 6.91 per set. Memphis is coached by Cheri Lindsay, who was named head coach in January 2025.
