BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Temple women's soccer (4-13-0, 1-7-0) snapped a five-game losing streak with a 1-0 win over UAB (5-5-6, 2-3-3) on Thursday night in Birmingham. The win also ended a 37-game conference skid, Temple's first AAC victory since 2021 against Houston.

How It Happened

The Owls got on the board in the first half when Ariana Gronauer scored in the 23rd minute off assists from Valentina Bitterwolf and Shari Atkins.
UAB outshot Temple 12-3 and held a big 15-1 edge in corner kicks, but the Owls' defense stood strong to keep the clean sheet. Teagan Harkins led Temple with two shots.
