Owls End Losing Streak with 1-0 Win Over UAB

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Temple women's soccer (4-13-0, 1-7-0) snapped a five-game losing streak with a 1-0 win over UAB (5-5-6, 2-3-3) on Thursday night in Birmingham. The win also ended a 37-game conference skid, Temple's first AAC victory since 2021 against Houston.

How It Happened
  • The Owls got on the board in the first half when Ariana Gronauer scored in the 23rd minute off assists from Valentina Bitterwolf and Shari Atkins.
  • UAB outshot Temple 12-3 and held a big 15-1 edge in corner kicks, but the Owls' defense stood strong to keep the clean sheet. Teagan Harkins led Temple with two shots.
