Temple Volleyball Set to Close Home Slate with Three Matches

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's volleyball looks to close out the 2025 season with three home matches at McGonigle Hall. The Owls will host Howard on Wednesday at 6 p.m., Tulsa on Friday at 6 p.m. for Senior Night, and Wichita State on Sunday at noon for Alumni Day.
OWLS IN THE NEST
Alyssa Finister was a key offensive force for the Owls in their recent road trip to Texas. The middle blocker totaled 18 kills while hitting an impressive .438 over nine sets. Finister posted seven kills and six total blocks against UTSA, followed by 11 kills and four blocks at North Texas. She currently ranks ninth in the conference in hitting percentage at .317 across 56 sets.
Christiana Greene continued her strong offensive run with back-to-back 20+ kill performances, hitting .284 while adding three service aces.
Libero Qairo Bentley anchored the Owls' back row, leading the defense with 49 total digs (5.44 per set). She matched her career-high with 27 digs in the five-set battle at UTSA and added 22 more at North Texas.
Veteran setter Lexi Yoza directed the offense with 66 total assists over the weekend, averaging 7.33 per set. Yoza tallied 36 assists against UTSA and 30 more at North Texas, while also contributing 27 digs (3.00 per set) and maintaining a .957 serving percentage.
Freshman setter Daniella Gonzalez Murati provided an additional spark to the offense, totaling 26 assists (3.25 per set) and three kills on a .429 hitting percentage.
Scouting Howard
Howard enters Wednesday's matchup on a four-match win streak, most recently defeating South Carolina State in four sets. The Bison offense is powered by Rya McKinnon, who leads the team with 383 kills. Setter Leah Reeves drives the attack with 918 assists (9.18 per set) and 40 service aces. Defensively, six players have surpassed 100 digs, and six have recorded at least 30 assisted blocks. 13th-year head coach Shaun Kupferberg leads Howard.

Scouting Tulsa
Tulsa is coming off a sweep of East Carolina, marking its 20th win of the season. Setter Bayern Hipp, who recorded her 13th double-double of the year with 31 assists and 14 digs on Sunday, leads the offense with 903 total assists. Lauren Eitler and Olivia Vance each have 227 kills, while Lauren Patterson anchors the defense with 3.62 digs per set and over 300 on the season. Third-year head coach Lauren Ramatowski leads the Golden Hurricane.

Scouting Wichita State
Wichita State is coming off a four-set loss to Charlotte, its fifth conference defeat. Setter Jordan Heatherly (846 assists) and Hannah Hawkins both recorded double-doubles in the match, with Heatherly posting 32 assists and 14 digs and Hawkins adding 12 assists and 11 digs. Sydney Dunning and Brooklyn Leggett lead the Shockers offensively, each surpassing 300 kills this season. Wichita State is led by 26th-year head coach Chris Lamb.
