PHILADELPHIA — Temple women's basketball (2-0) dominated George Washington (1-1) 86-50 at home Friday night. Jaleesa Molina scored 15 points, Kaylah Turner had 14, Drew Alexander added 13, and Tristen Taylor finished with 11 as four Owls reached double figures. Every Temple player scored. The victory marked the program's first 2-0 start since the 2019-20 season and largest win since 2023.

How It Happened
First Quarter

Temple forced an early turnover and converted it into a 3-pointer by Turner to go up 5-0.
George Washington took more than two minutes to record its first basket, a layup by Kamaru Sims, to make it 5-2.
After Temple's basket at 8:59, the Owls went 0-for-6 from the floor during a scoring drought of more than three minutes.
Both teams were scoreless for a combined six minutes before GW broke through with a bucket.
Sara Lewis made the Revolutionaries' first basket in nearly three minutes.

A 3-pointer from Savannah Curry extended the margin to 25-14 with under four minutes left in the half.
Molina followed with a steal and coast-to-coast layup to cap a 7-0 Temple run.

Third Quarter

Temple opened the second half on an 8-0 run behind baskets from Taylor, Craig and Molina to go up 47-21.
Turner hit from beyond the arc to make it 50-25.
Brianna Mead added her first 3-pointer of the night to push the lead to 57-27.
Moments later, Alexander connected from deep to make it 60-29.
She added a jumper at the buzzer to give Temple a 64-34 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.

Fourth Quarter

Alexander buried another 3-pointer to make it 69-38.
Turner and Alexander hit back-to-back 3s as Temple stretched the lead to 75-40.
Alexander scored eight points in the fourth, going 3-for-4 from the field to tie her career high of 13.
Taylor went coast-to-coast for a layup to reach double figures with 11 points.
The Owls led by 40 with 1:29 remaining.
Silvia Gonzalez hit a 3-pointer, her first shot of the night — to close the scoring at 86-49.
