MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Temple women's basketball (2-1) fell to West Virginia (3-0), 89-61, on Tuesday night in Morgantown. Kaylah Turner led the Owls in scoring with a season-high 23 points. Savannah Curry and Tristen Taylor were the only other players to reach double figures, each recording 11 points.

How it Happened
First Quarter
  • The Mountaineers opened the scoring with a putback from Jordan Thomas.
  • Savannah Curry answered with the first basket for the Owls.
  • Kaylah Turner pulled up from beyond the arc following an inbounds pass to give Temple its first lead of the game.
  • Following Turner's three at the 8:08 mark, the Owls went scoreless for over two minutes.
  • West Virginia regained the lead after Jordan Harrison connected on a three, making it 7-5 Mountaineers.
  • After drawing a foul, Tristen Taylor converted two free throws to tie the game at 7.
  • Heading into the media timeout, Turner ended the Owls' scoring drought with a layup to give Temple a 9-7 lead.
  • After back-to-back baskets, WVU took an 11-9 lead with under four minutes remaining in the opening quarter.

  • Celia Riviere hit a floater to make it 80-50 WVU with just over five minutes left in regulation.
  • Kelian Cedano got her first basket of the night with 4:52 to go.
  • Turner continued to show her range, hitting yet another three-pointer , her fifth, bringing her to 21 points and 5-for-12 from beyond the arc.
