Men’s Tennis Falls Short Against Bryant

Smithfield, RI - Temple came up short against Bryant in a tightly contested match on Friday, with the Bulldogs securing the doubles point and taking four of six singles matches. Despite strong performances from Aayush Bhat and Alberto Blumenschein, who each picked up wins for the Owls, Bryant's depth proved decisive in the outcome.

How It Happen
- In doubles play, Martim Marujo and Maj Najvirt Kolaric's match against Sepehr Raissi and Otakar Ungerman went unfinished, with the Owls trailing 5-4. Bryant secured the doubles point with victories on courts two and three.
- In singles action, Bhat delivered a strong performance for Temple, taking down Raissi in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. Blumenschein added another point for the Owls with a 6-2, 7-5 victory over Marcus Macaulay. However, Bryant found success across the remaining courts. Peterson outlasted Pranav Nemani in a marathon match, 7-5, 5-7, 10-8, while Boparai claimed a 7-5, 6-1 win over Erden Er.
- At the top of the lineup, Marujo pushed Ungerman to three sets but ultimately fell short, 4-6, 6-4, 7-5. Machado also secured a straight-set victory for Bryant, defeating Kolaric, 6-3, 6-3.
