No. 11 Fencing Closes Schiller Duals with Undefeated Sunday

EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 11 Temple Fencing displayed a strong showing on the second day of the Schiller Duals, finishing with a perfect 5-0 record. After dropping the first three bouts on Saturday, the Owls rattled off eight straight wins to finish the weekend 8-3. This improves Temple's overall record to an impressive 25-9.

MEET SUMMARY
- Temple began the day by defeating Cleveland State in dominating fashion, 26-1.
- The Owls followed this up with two more victories, first over Lawrence, 19-8, then UC San Diego, 18-9.
- The fourth bout of the day featured Temple picking up their fifth win over a Top 15 team this season, in No. 10 Ohio State. The Cherry and White defeated the Buckeyes thanks to a 6-3 showing from the sabre squad.
- The last bout of the weekend saw Temple defeat Incarnate Word, 18-9. This win gave the Owls a perfect 5-0 record on Sunday.
INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS
- The Owls went 92-40 in individual bouts on Sunday.
- Junior foilist Natalie Adams-Kim posted a strong 9-2 performance, highlighted by 3-0 sweeps against Cleveland State and UC San Diego.
- Freshman Victoria Doroshkevich led the epee squad with seven wins, including two against No. 10 Ohio State.
- Fellow freshman Samantha Nathanson delivered a flawless 10-0 performance, bringing her season record to 44-22 in her first year on North Broad.
