Women’s Tennis Geared Up for Road Matches Against No. 54 Princeton and Delaware This Weekend

PRINCETON, N.J – This weekend, March 1 and 2, women's tennis will be on the road for matches against No. 54 Princeton University and University of Delaware. The team will play Princeton in Princeton, NJ, on Saturday at 3:00 PM and Delaware in Newark, DE, on Sunday at 12:00 PM.

SCOUTING TEMPLE
- Temple's doubles teams demonstrated strong performances, with Marianthi Christoforidou and Thamara Kawaratani winning 6-1 and Maria Martinez and Aditi Vaidya posting a dominant 6-0 victory.
- Freshmen student Irmak Ozturk and Sophomore student Christoforidou secured impressive singles wins, both winning in straight sets.
- Maria Martinez was in a competitive match, leading 6-4, before it was left unfinished against Jenna Svatos.
SCOUTING PRINCETON
- Princeton women's tennis concluded their weekend road trip with a hard-fought 4-1 loss to No. 42 Old Dominion. The Tigers' sole point came from Pearlie Zhang, who delivered a confident 6-2, 6-4 victory over Marina Markina. Despite a strong doubles performance from Yichen Zhao and Tsehay Driscoll, Princeton couldn't capitalize in singles, with Old Dominion clinching the win through key victories.
SCOUTING DELAWARE
- The University of Delaware women's tennis team dominated George Washington in a 7-0 sweep on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Hens made quick work of their opponents, with all three doubles teams securing straight-set victories. Four Delaware players clinched wins in straight sets in singles, including No. 61 Maryia Hrynashka, who triumphed in a tightly contested match.
