Women’s Tennis Shines in Dominant Win Over Howard

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's tennis secured a commanding victory over Howard, showcasing strength in both singles and doubles. The Owls claimed key doubles wins, with Shevita Aulana and Maria Martinez defeating Ava Chambers and Jordan Grayson 6-4, while Nina Andreoni and Irmak Ozturk sealed the point with a 6-3 win over Dana Hall and Selah Stibbins Dalmonico.

How It Happen

In singles, Ozturk battled through a tough match to edge Nadia Pegram 6-4, 3-6, 10-6, while Thamara Kawaratani secured a hard-fought 6-3, 7-6(4) victory over Sifa Butcher.
Martyna Mackiewicz added to Temple's success with a decisive 6-2, 6-3 win against Dana Hall. Although Martinez fell in a close 7-5, 3-6, 10-8 match to Imani Jean, the Owls remained in control.
Marianthi Christoforidou (3-6, 6-2, UF) and Aditi Vaidya (6-2, UF) saw their matches go unfinished, but Temple had already locked in the win with a dominant performance.
