Men’s Tennis Battles Portland but Drops Road Match

IRVINE, CA – Temple fought hard against Portland but ultimately fell short as the Pilots claimed the doubles point and secured three singles victories to clinch the match.

How It Happen

In doubles play, Dante Russo and Maj Najvirt Kolaric battled Maxim Groysman and Cade Fernando before the match went unfinished at 4-4. Martim Marujo and Adam Kresina put up a strong effort but were defeated by Nikola Keremedchiev and Stefan Skobelev, 6-3.
In singles, Kresina faced a formidable opponent in Keremedchiev, falling 6-4, 6-0, while Kolaric battled but ultimately fell to Skobelev in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.
Aayush Bhat was in a close match against Garcia, winning the first set 6-4 before play was stopped at 2-3 in the second. Pranav Nemani picked up a strong result for the Owls, edging Kimelman 7-5 before his match went unfinished.
