Novoseltseva Concludes First Day of NCAA Championships

University Park, Pa. – Temple fencing's Anna Novoseltseva competed in the first three rounds of pool play at the National Collegiate Fencing Championships on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Novoseltseva opened the day with two bout victories in the first pool but faced tough competition, dropping five bouts to finish with a -12 touch score.
- The second pool proved even more challenging, as she battled through four closely contested bouts but was unable to secure a win, ending with a -6 touch score.
- In the third and final pool of the day, Novoseltseva picked up one victory, finishing with a 1-3 record and a -2 touch score.
- Novoseltseva will return to the strip for two more rounds of pool competition on Sunday, Mar. 22. Following these rounds, the top four fencers will advance to direct elimination play.
