Men's Crew Shows Well in Final Exhibition Race of Season at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. - The 24th-ranked Temple University men's crew team rounded out its spring scrimmage season with a difficult schedule of racing on Saturday, and the Owls were up to the challenge on Lake Carnegie in Princeton.
Taking on first varsity crews from No. 4 Princeton, No. 16 Georgetown, and No. 18 La Salle, Temple earned a two-second win over the Explorers and was just two seconds off the pace of second-place Georgetown. The Tigers, who advanced to last season's IRA grand final, earned an open-water victory over the three other crews in the race.
Temple's second varsity eight also fared well, defeating both Georgetown and La Salle in the 2,000-meter race. The 3V and 4V also gained valuable experience heading into the official season opener.
The Owls will open their racing schedule on Saturday, April 12 at the Schuylkill Invitational. More details on race times will be available at OwlSports.com.
