Temple University Athletics is excited to announce the addition of Hannah Gavin as Assistant Athletic Director for Finance Administration. Gavin joins the Owls after spending six years in a variety of roles at New Jersey City University.Â
"We are excited to welcome Hannah to the Temple family," Bryan Senior, Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director for Finance and Administration said. "Hannah brings a wealth of experience to North Broad and understands all aspects of an athletic department from her time at NJCU. She will be a valuable addition to our team."
Most recently, Gavin served as Assistant Business Manager, Assistant Compliance Officer and Athletic Academic Coordinator while volunteering as an assistant softball coach for her alma mater. In the assistant business manager role, she assisted in all business-related activities for the NCAA Division III athletic department.Â
"I am incredibly excited to join Temple University Athletics as the new Assistant AD of Business Operations," Gavin said. "Athletics has always been a passion of mine, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to a department that plays such a meaningful role in the university and the community. I look forward to learning the ins and outs of Temple Athletics, building strong relationships with my colleagues, and creating collaborative connections across campus. My goal is to make a lasting impact while helping to increase efficiency and support the continued success of the business office and the department as a whole."
In the academic coordinator position, Gavin played a key role in the long-term success of the department and its student-athletes, serving as the primary academic advisor. She assisted with registration, engagement, enrollment management, implementation and adaptation of new and current processes in order to ensure academic success, student retention, and degree completion.
In addition to her administrative roles, Gavin also volunteered as an assistant softball coach at her alma mater. A four-year member of the Gothic Knights' softball program, served as a three-year team captain and was a two-time Academic All-New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) selection, earning first team honors as a senior.
Originally from South Jersey, Gavin earned her undergraduate degree in business management from NJCU in 2019 and graduated from NJCU's school of business with her MBA in 2021.
