Owls Secure Victory Over Queens

3.7.25 | Women's Lacrosse

CHARLOTTE – Temple women's lacrosse defeated Queens in Charlotte, 15-12, on Friday afternoon. Erin King and Sabrina Martin led Temple with four goals apiece, while Kaitlyn Stankavage had a career-high three goals.

How It Happened
Stankavage scored the first goal for the Owls after Queens' Devan Maredy opened the scoring. Martin's first goal gave Temple a 2-1 lead until the Royals went on a three-goal run to close out the first quarter with a 4-2 advantage.

Heading into the second quarter, Temple went on a six-goal run with contributions from Sarah Gowman, two goals from Kali Saito, and two goals from Erin King, while Martin added to her goal total. Queens closed out the second quarter with two goals, and Temple led 8-6 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Martin scored her third goal of the game, while Queens added two more. Both teams were tied at 9 heading into the final quarter.

Temple dominated in the fourth, scoring six goals. Stankavage and King each netted two goals, while Jenna Facciolli and Martin also contributed. Queens scored three goals, but it wasn't enough, as Temple secured the 15-12 victory.

Up Next
The Owls will travel to Tampa, Fla., to face USF on Saturday, March 15, in another road test. Game time is set for noon and will be televised on ESPN+.
