Men's Golf Continues Spring Season at Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate

AIKEN, S.C. - The Temple University men's golf team will return to action at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Intercollegiate, beginning Monday. A total of 15 programs will compete in the two-day event, hosted by USC Aiken.

- Temple made its way to Puerto Rico for the Dorado Beach Intercollegiate at the end of February, tying for eighth place out of 16 teams.
- Junior Aiden Emmerich registered his second straight top-20 finish of the spring season, tying for 15th place at four-under par 212.
- The Owls came out on fire to start the tournament, shooting 275 (-13) and stood in second place after the round.
- Senior Joey Morganti shot five-under par 67 to lead four players under par. Morganti was joined in red numbers by Emmerich (-3),senior Michael Walsh (-3) and senior Jake Naese (-2).
- On the season, including five tournaments in the fall, senior Ethan Whitney leads the team in scoring average at 72.9.
- Whitney and Emmerich are tied for the team lead with six under-par rounds.
- Temple is joined by Clemson, East Carolina, Virginia Tech, Campbell, Mercer, Wofford, Gardner-Webb, Presbyterian, Samford, Army West Point, Davidson, UAB, Francis Marion, and host USC Aiken.
