Men's Crew Readies for Another Busy Day of Racing on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA - The No. 17 Temple University men's crew team continues to ascend in the IRCA/IRA rankings, moving up a spot from last weekand will look to bolster its resume with another tough test on Saturday.

The Owls' top three boats will head to Lake Quinsigamond, Massachusetts to square off against No. 12 Boston University, No. 18 Holy Cross, and Marist. The remaining crew will stay in Philadelphia to take part in the Kerr Cup along the Schuylkill River.

ABOUT THE OWLS

Temple's first varsity and second varsity eight each earned a pair of victories at the Schuylkill Invitational on April 12.
The V8 earned wins over No. 24 Gonzaga, both San Diego and Hobart, who were receiving votes in the Top 25 poll, and Jacksonville.
The crew's time of 5:17.66 was the second-fastest time of the day, behind only No. 13 Georgetown.
The 2V8 also picked up wins over Jacksonville, Hobart, and Gonzaga.
