Owls Wrap Up 2025 Season at AAC Championships

SARASOTA, Fla. - Four Temple University men's golfers shot even par or better on Wednesday, and the Owls finished out the American Athletic Conference Championship with their best round of the tournament. Temple, who concluded its 2024-25 season with the round, shot one-under par 287 on the day, bettering its score by eight strokes from Tuesday's round.

- Senior Joey Morganti led the charge for Temple on day three, shooting one-under par 71 in his final collegiate round.
- Morganti three birdies, more than his total from the prior two rounds combined, and two bogeys en route to his score.
- A trio of Owls carded even-par rounds of 72 -- senior Jake Naese, junior Aidan Emmerich, and freshman Mason Tomé.
- Emmerich's round concluded a three-day tournament that saw him finish at one-under par 215 and earn a top-30 finish individually.
- Tomé may have had the most impressive even-par round on the day, as he came all the way back from a triple bogey on his eighth hole.
- The West Palm Beach, Fla. product made the turn at three-over par, and proceeded to shoot three-under 33 over his final nine holes including birdies on the 1st, 4th, and 7th holes.
- As a team, the Owls registered 18 birdies on the day - two more than the prior two days combined.
- Charlotte and USF tied after 54 holes and played a three-hole playoff to determine the AAC champion, with the 49ers earning the victory and the league's automatic bid into NCAA Regionals.
- USF's Jake Peacock earned medalist honors for the second straight season by two shots over Wichita State's Jose Ramirez.
