Women’s Tennis to Host FDU in Final Home Match of the Season

Philadelphia - The Owls are set to host Fairleigh Dickinson University on Tuesday, April 8, at 11:00 a.m. in Philadelphia, Pa., for their final home match of the 2024-25 season. As Temple closes out its home slate, the team will look to carry momentum into the final stretch of the regular season. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Owls one last time on their home court.

SCOUTING TEMPLE
- Temple fell 6-1 to NJIT, but the Owls showed flashes of grit in a tightly contested match that featured three singles battles going the distance.
- Marianthi Christoforidou delivered the highlight of the day with a composed straight-set win at No. 3 singles, downing Shalom Salvi 6-3, 6-4 for Temple's lone point.
- Kelly Richter and Irmak Ozturk each pushed their opponents to three sets at No. 2 and No. 1, respectively, showing resilience against NJIT's top two.
SCOUTING FDU
- FDU extended its win streak to six with a commanding 6-1 victory over Mercyhurst, sweeping doubles and taking five of six singles courts.
- Yelena Kim delivered a perfect 6-0, 6-0 result at No. 3 singles and teamed with Namie Isago for a 6-4 win at the top doubles spot.
- Namie Isago led from the top of the lineup, claiming a straight-set victory at No. 1 singles after helping secure the doubles point with Kim.
