Temple Track & Field Heads to Princeton for Larry Ellis Invitational

PHILADELPHIA - Temple women's track and field is set to return to Princeton for the second time this season, competing in the two-day Larry Ellis Invitational at Lannigan Field. This meet marks the final tune-up before the postseason for the Cherry & White.

> At the 129th Penn Relays, the 4x200-meter relay team of Chloe Smith, Mariah Jameson, Allyson Metzger, and Jade Pope clocked a 1:38.79, the fifth-fastest time in program history.
> The quartet of Laila Cottom, Jameson, Metzger, and Pope ran a second best 3:47.19 1600 meter relay.Â
> Amira Green claimed victory in the college section of the women's high jump, clearing a season-best 1.73 meters.
Previewing the Owls
> In the short hurdles Nya Browne will showcase her talent, while Chloe Smith and Dicia Watkins will tackle the 400 meter hurdles.Â
> Allyson Metzger will compete in the 100 and 200 meter dash. Metzger will be accompanied by Browne, Mariah Jameson and Jade Pope in the 200 meter dash.Â
> Five Owls will compete in the open 400, Terren Bolton, Jayla Green, Mariah Jameson, Jade Pope and Maliah Powell.
> Cottom and Maya Gomes will represent Temple in the 800 meters, with Emma-Kate Watt competing in the 1,500 meters.
> In the field events Reece Sullivan and Aliza White Vega will compete in the pole vault. Reagan Schwartz and Inara Shell will take on the triple jump. Amira Green will represent the Owls in the high jump.Â
> The 4x400-meter relay will feature a freshman lineup of Green, Gomes, Smith, and Powell. Â
