Men's Soccer Upended 1-0 in Season Opener

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple men's soccer team fell to St. John's in TU's season opener on Thursday night, 1-0. The Owls totaled six shots as Sunday's match against Delaware will wrap up a two-game homestand.
How it Happened
•   Temple started the game off aggressively on offense with two corner-kick opportunities in the first four minutes.
•   Chase Jackson created an opportunity in the 22nd minute with a shot on target.
•   Goalie Diego Dauzier pulled in three saves from minute 50-60, keeping the match knotted up at 0-0.
•   The Temple defense held strong until a go-ahead goal in the 85th minute sealed the deal for the Red Storm.

•   Temple recorded five second-half shots and six in total.
•   Lukas Egarter and Nore Sumner were the lone two position players to play the full 90 minutes. Egarter ranked third for the Cherry and White last season, logging a total of 1,138 minutes played.
