Men’s Soccer Looks to Build Momentum vs. Florida Atlantic

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple University men's soccer team will host Florida Atlantic on Sunday, Sept. 21, at Temple Sports Complex. The Owls enter the match following a 1-0 win against Lafayette, boosting their overall record to 1-4-2. Florida Atlantic enters Sunday afternoon with a record of 4-2.
Scouting Temple
- Temple defeated Lafayette on Tuesday night, 1-0. Adrian Panaite scored his first career goal towards the end of the first half to propel the Owls to the win.
- Goalkeeper Diego Dauzier recorded his second clean sheet this season on Tuesday, previously doing so against Dayton (Aug. 28).
- Paolo Kampula and Luka Lukic have been anchors on Temple's back line this season, both playing key roles in keeping the Leopards off the scoreboard on Tuesday.
Scouting Florida Atlantic
- Florida Atlantic is coming off a 2-0 loss against No. 5 N.C. State. Forward Mamadou Diarra currently ranks second in the conference in goals with four.
- Florida Atlantic was previously ranked No. 19 this season in the coaches' poll. The Owls lead the conference in assists with 16.
- Head Coach Joey Worthen is in his ninth season as Head Coach of Florida Atlantic. The Owls compiled a 7-6-3 record in 2024, falling in the first round to in-state opponent Florida International.
Series History against Florida Atlantic
This will be the fourth all-time matchup between Temple and Florida Atlantic, with the Cherry & White holding a 2-0-1 series advantage. Last season, the two clubs fought to a 1-1 draw in Boca Raton.
