Women's Tennis Opens Fall Season with Three-Day Showing at Villanova Invitational

PHILADELPHIA - The Temple women's tennis team opened its fall season, competing in the Villanova Invitational from Sept. 19 to Sept. 21. Over the weekend, the Owls faced opponents from Villanova, Delaware, NJIT, and Syracuse.
How It Happened
- Tianni Zhou and Marianthi Christoforidou led the way for Temple on Friday against NJIT, with Zhou downing her opponent in a hard-fought three-set match.
- Irmak Ozturk, Thamara Kawaratani, and Nina Andreoni were all victorious on Saturday, picking up wins against Delaware and Syracuse.
- Lastly, on Sunday, Christoforidou and Aditi Vaidya each won in two sets against Villanova.
