Owls Prepare for Thursday Clash with Rice

PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's soccer returns to action this Thursday as the Owls host Rice at the Temple Sports Complex. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

Temple is coming off its largest home win since 2017, dominating Lincoln in a 6-0 shutout on Sunday evening at TSC.
Six different Owls found the back of the net — Shari Atkins, Brianna Parker, Delaney Hoelker, Maddie Ward, Ariana Gronauer, and Sophia Chipriano — marking the most individual goal-scorers in a single game for Temple since an 8-0 win over Delaware State in 2017.
Ariana Gronauer led the way with a season-high three points, scoring a goal and assisting on Chipriano's 89th-minute strike.
Temple outshot Lincoln 21-2, including 12 shots on target, in the commanding win.

Scouting the Owls

Rice enters the match with a 7-1-1 record and is riding a two-game winning streak, following victories over Grambling State and FAU.
The Owls defeated Grambling 3-1 on Sunday, with goals from Leah Chancey, Jadyn Jaeger, and Eileen Albers.
Chancey leads the team in both goals (8) and total points (23), while also adding seven assists this season.
In goal, Kirsten Ruf has recorded 37 saves on 106 shots faced.
