PHILADELPHIA – Temple women's soccer (3-9-0, 0-3-0 AAC) came up short against No. 25 Rice (8-1-1, 2-1-1 AAC) on Thursday night, falling 1-0 at the Temple Sports Complex after conceding the game's only goal in the 57th minute.

How It Happened
  • The match was tightly contested through the first half, with both teams going into the break scoreless. Rice held a slight edge in shots, 3-2.
  • Early in the second half, Rice broke through as Naija Bruckner scored in the 57th minute. Jadyn Jaeger and Leah Chancey assisted on the play.
  • Rice controlled the second half, outshooting Temple 9-2 and finishing with a 12-4 advantage overall.
  • Freshman goalkeeper Taylor Vecchione had a strong night in net, recording five saves to keep the Owls within reach.
