Men’s Soccer Continues Road Stretch at Army Friday

WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Temple University men's soccer team is set to travel Friday night to face the Army Black Knights in West Point, N.Y. The Owls are coming off a two-game swing in Columbus, where they drew 0-0 against Dayton before falling 2-1 to the Ohio State Buckeyes. Entering the contest, Army holds a 1-1-1 record while Temple stands at 0-3-1.

Scouting Temple

Paolo Kampula hit the back of the net against Ohio State for his first goal as a member of the Temple Owls.
Luka Lukic highlighted Temple's backline during the Wolstein Classic. For his contributions, he was named both the Rookie of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week from the Philly Soccer Six.
Preston Neal and Diego Dauzier have alternated being in goal so far this season for Temple. Dauzier earned the first clean sheet of his collegiate career in a 0-0 draw against Dayton.

Scouting Army

The Black Knights enter Friday night following a 0-0 draw against Marist with goalkeeper Collin Gilbert collecting a clean sheet.
Army recorded a 4-11-2 record in 2024, notably defeating Navy 2-1 in the annual Army-Navy Cup.
Head Coach Brian Plotkin is in his fifth season as head coach of the Black Knights. He carries a combined record of 23-31-14 over his tenure.

Series History against Army
This will be the 14th all-time meeting between Temple and Army. The Owls and Black Knights faced off last season in North Philadelphia, ending in a 1-1 draw.
