Budd Named EAGL Specialist of the Week

PHILADELPHIA – Junior Amelia Budd has been named East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Specialist of the Week after her performances in Temple's win over LIU last Saturday. Budd's contributions on vault and floor helped the Owls post a season-high score of 194.150.
Budd competed twice against the Sharks, posting a 9.800 or higher in both routines. On the vault, the North Carolina native notched a season-high score of 9.825. Budd would then transition to the floor where she put up a career-high 9.800. Both scores tied her for first place overall in the meet on the respective event.
Budd and the Owls return to action Friday, Jan. 23 for the first home quad meet of the season. George Washington, Penn, and Texas Woman's University will travel to McGonigle Hall for a 6:00 pm meet. The competition will be streamed on ESPN+ and live results can be found at owlsports.com.
