- Kaylah Turner led the team with 23 points, shooting 7-for-15 from the field and 4-for-5 from beyond the arc.

Scouting the 49ers
- Charlotte finished last season with an overall record of 11–21 and went 4–14 in American Athletic Conference play, placing 11th. This year, the 49ers were picked to finish 10th in the conference according to the preseason poll.
- Charlotte enters the matchup having won two of its last five games. Its most recent contest was a 77–56 win over Florida Atlantic, holding FAU to fewer than 20 points in each quarter. The 49ers also had four players score in double figures.
- Princess Anderson leads the Niners in scoring this season with 264 points (14.7 points per game) and also tops the team in steals with 40.
- Graduate student Tanajah Hayes has totaled 202 points (10.6 ppg) and leads the team with 102 assists, though she also leads Charlotte in turnovers with 63.
