Temple Athletics Celebrates Small Business Nights at Liacouras Center

PHILADELPHIA - Temple University Athletics proudly recaps two successful Small Business Nights held at the Liacouras Center during the Temple Women's Basketball game vs. South Florida on January 20 and the Men's Basketball game vs. Charlotte on January 28.
The events spotlighted local small businesses and community organizations, strengthening Temple's commitment to community engagement and supporting entrepreneurship in North Philadelphia.
"Small businesses are the backbone of our city, and Small Business Night is a meaningful way for Temple Athletics to celebrate the entrepreneurs who strengthen our North Philadelphia community," said Arthur Johnson, Vice President/Debbie & Stanley Lefkowitz '65 Director of Athletics. "Welcoming these businesses to the Liacouras Center and recognizing their impact reinforces our commitment to community engagement and to using Temple Basketball as a platform to uplift those around us."
"Small Business Night at the Liacouras Center is really special," added Jonathan C. Reiter, Vice President, Business Affairs & Administration. "It's an opportunity for local businesses in the North Philadelphia area to showcase their goods and services and receive the special recognition that they all deserve. Additionally, it's a wonderful representation of the partnership between Temple University and Van Wagner. I want to thank the businesses who participated, Shalimar Thomas and the North Broad Renaissance team, and our partners at Van Wagner for making this happen for the second year in a row."
Both nights offered attending fans a vibrant showcase of local entrepreneurs, services, and community organizations. Participating businesses included:
