Temple Women’s Rowing Announces 2026 Spring Schedule

PHILADELPHIA – The inaugural season for Temple Women's Rowing in the Mid-American Conference (MAC) is almost here. Head coach Rebecca Grzybowski announced Friday the 2026 spring season schedule for the Owls.
The schedule features eight events, two of which will be in Philadelphia on the Schuylkill River. The slate of regattas culminates with the Temple competing in its first ever MAC Championship. The Championships will be hosted by Eastern Michigan University on Ford Lake in Ypsilanti, MI. on May 16, 2026.
The schedule will kick off on Saturday, March 14 when Temple travels to Rutgers in a scrimmage. The scrimmage will be held in New Brunswick, N.J. on the Raritan River. The Owls will return to Philadelphia two weeks later on Saturday, March 28 to host the Delaware Blue Hens, Fordham Rams, Georgetown Hoyas, and Navy Midshipmen on the Schuylkill River.
The following Saturday on April 4, Temple will head south to Virginia Beach, Va. for a dual race with Old Dominion University. Temple will then compete in the 2026 Knecht Cup Regatta from Saturday, April 11 to Sunday, April 12. The Knecht Cup will be held on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J. Again, back on the Schuylkill River, Temple will compete in the 2026 Kelly Cup hosted by Philly rival Drexel on Saturday, April 25.
The final month of the spring season will begin in Worcester, Mass. on Lake Quinsigamond for the 2026 Women's Sprints on Sunday, May 3. The following weekend the Owls will take part in the historic Dad Vail Regatta on Friday, May 8 to Saturday, May 9. The Dad Vails will be on the Cooper River. To conclude the 2026 season, Temple will travel to Ypsilanti, MI. for the 2026 MAC Championships. Six schools will be competing in this year's inaugural MAC Championships: Temple, Delaware, Eastern Michigan, High Point, UMass, and Toledo.
