Women's Tennis Claims First Spring Win, Splits Doubleheader in Morgantown

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Temple University women's tennis team finished competition in Morgantown this Sunday, falling to West Virginia 4-1 and then downing Cleveland State by a score of 4-3.
How it Happened
- Irmak Ozturk delivered on both days for the Owls, first by winning her match on Saturday against the Mountaineers and then by winning it two sets in singles play on Sunday against the Vikings.
- Ozturk teamed up with Tianni Zhou in doubles on Sunday, blanking Cleveland State.
- Maria Christofourdou, Nina Andreoni and Maria Martinez joined Ozturk to deliver all four match wins for Temple, marking the team's first win of the spring season.
