Women’s Tennis Set for Friday Clash at Fordham

NEW YORK – The Temple University women's tennis team is set for a Friday afternoon matchup against Fordham. The action from the Bronx is set to start at 2:30 P.M.
SCOUTING TEMPLE
- The Owls are coming off their first win of the season against Cleveland State, winning 4-3.
- Irmak Ozturk highlighted the weekend for the Owls, pairing with Tianni Zhou in a sweep in doubles while earning a two-set victory in singles play.
- Against the Mountaineers on Saturday, Temple fell 4-1 with Ozturk pulling away for the lone victory on the day.
Scouting Fordham
- The Rams enter Friday with a 1-5 record, posting a win against Drexel, 6-1.
- Junior Aya Matsunaga leads the team in singles victory, earning individual wins against Drexel, Syracuse and Boston College.
- Head Coach Michael Sowter is in his fifth year as head coach of Fordham Women's Tennis. Sowter's Rams earned the first seed in the Atlantic 10 last year with a 16-5 record.
