Women’s Tennis Set for Friday Clash at Fordham

NEW YORK – The Temple University women's tennis team is set for a Friday afternoon matchup against Fordham. The action from the Bronx is set to start at 2:30 P.M.

SCOUTING TEMPLE

The Owls are coming off their first win of the season against Cleveland State, winning 4-3.
Irmak Ozturk highlighted the weekend for the Owls, pairing with Tianni Zhou in a sweep in doubles while earning a two-set victory in singles play.
Against the Mountaineers on Saturday, Temple fell 4-1 with Ozturk pulling away for the lone victory on the day.

Scouting Fordham

The Rams enter Friday with a 1-5 record, posting a win against Drexel, 6-1.
Junior Aya Matsunaga leads the team in singles victory, earning individual wins against Drexel, Syracuse and Boston College.
Head Coach Michael Sowter is in his fifth year as head coach of Fordham Women's Tennis. Sowter's Rams earned the first seed in the Atlantic 10 last year with a 16-5 record.
